About The Grouse
The Grouse Inn is a country pub situated at the top of the hill between Chapel-en-le- Frith and Glossop, on the A624. It commands excellent views of the surrounding countryside, in the heart of the High Peak.
Your hosts Arthur and Jackie welcome you to The Grouse Inn Glossop. It's a great place to stop if passing through the area, a place to replenish your energy for the rest of the day.
Pull in to the large car par and go into the pub through the porch area (go on a wet or windy day and it'll be a welcome sight) and enter the traditional interior.
The Grouse Inn has a fine selection of keg and draught beers as well as a good wine cellar.
Our staff are friendly and provide prompt service, The Grouse Inn is child friendly, indeed there’s even a safe play area for smaller children at the rear of the pub sometimes with our farm animals wandering about. There are new lambs in the spring when you can come and watch them being bottle fed. Try having a cuddle a new born lamb, it's a wonderful experience. Also there are rabbits, ducks , hens and guinea fowl. If your lucky, you may even see a Grouse!
Additional attractions at appropriate times at the pub include
Helicopter Rides over the area and
Clay Pigeon shooting in the fields nearby – but not at the same time! Click on the links for more information.
Come for our great food, great beer, roaring log fires and stay for the wonderful atmosphere! .
